Get a key

A key tells Biiikes who is asking. You need one for every request to a public operation.

1. Sign in to Biiikes.
2. Open your account and find Developer keys.
3. Name the key after what will use it, like “Club calendar”, and choose Make a key.
4. Copy the key. It’s shown this once. Only a fingerprint of it is kept, so nobody, us included, can show it to you again.

Keys start with bkk_. Keep them out of code you share and out of addresses: a key in an address is ignored.

Managing keys

Your account lists each key with when it was made and last used. Delete ends a key on its next request. An account can hold ten keys at a time.

When you leave Biiikes or erase your account, your keys are deleted with it. Coming back doesn’t bring them back.
